Two California teachers have been charged over an
unsanctioned beach party in which they allegedly gave students alcohol
and had sex with them.
Melody Lippert, 38, and Michelle Ghirelli, 30, were arrested over the
weekend after being accused of having sexual relations with high school
students during two trips to the beach last year, according to the Los Angeles Times.
In one Lippert is accused of giving alcohol to students before
beginning sexual relations with one, while on a separate overnight trip
weeks later they were allegedly joined by Ghirelli, who allegedly had
sex with an underage male student, Orange County Sheriff’s Office
claimed.
Lippert, who is accused with no sex crimes because the student she
allegedly had sex with was over 18, has been charged with conspiracy and
contributing to the delinquency of a minor, while Ghirelli has been
charged with oral copulation and unlawful sex with a minor.
They are due in court next week and are on paid administrative leave in the meantime.
