THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organisation
has accused former President Olusegun Obasanjo of deliberately covering
up for All Progressives Congress (APC), Major General Muhammadu Buhari
(retd) by not acting on the Dr Haroun Adamu-led Interim Management
Committee that probed the Buhari-led Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) and
found about N25 billion belonging to the fund unaccounted for.
According to a statement issued by the Director-General of the
organisation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode in Abuja on Saturday, it disagreed
with the clean bill of health given to Buhari as the chief executive of
PTF by Obasanjo.
The campaign organisation said that by saying that there was nothing
amiss in the financial transactions in the PTF, Obasanjo was only trying
to cover up the presidential candidate of the APC.
