Snapchat, WhatsApp and iMessage users have hit out against Tory proposals that could see their favourite messaging apps being banned in the UK.
Prime Minister David Cameron yesterday vowed to make it impossible for terrorists to communicate via private messaging.
But in doing so, he appeared to hint that if the Tories get elected, he will ban some of the world's most popular apps that use encryption technology to make messages more secure.
These include Snapchat, WhatsApp and iMessage, which several million people use daily in the UK.
Mr
Cameron said: "If I'm Prime Minister I will make sure it is a
comprehensive piece of legislation that makes sure we do not allow
terrorists safe space to communicate with each other."
"Are we
going to allow a means of communication where it simply isn't possible
to do that? My answer to that question is 'no we must not." ...DailyMirror
