An ambulance crew who left a body on a garage floor so they could finish on time said “it was common practice”.
James Harrison, 32, lay at Ely ambulance station, Cambs, for two hours.
He had been picked up paramedics David Glenton and Anne-Marie Poole after he was found dead on a street.
Instead of taking the plumber directly to the mortuary the pair
dumped him on the floor of an ambulance garage and clocked off work.
James’s body was left for two hours after another paramedic crew arrived late for their shift.
