Cote d’Ivoire defeat Super Eagles in UAE friendly

Salomon Kalou’s second-half goal was enough for Cote d’Ivoire to beat Nigeria 1-0 in an international friendly match, played at the Zayed Sports City Stadium, Abu Dhabi on Sunday evening.

Daniel Amokachi took charge of a largely home-based Super Eagles, while the Ivorians paraded all their stars, who will be at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.


Both sides created decent chances to score in the opening exchanges, but the Nigerians’ lack of composure and experience proved to be their undoing in the end. ...DailyPost
