The All Progressives Congress
Presidential Campaign Organisation on Wednesday chided President
Goodluck Jonathan for his alleged alliance with ethnic warlords.
It said it was disappointed that the
President was aligning with individuals and groups who had been
threatening to tear the country apart in case he (Jonathan) failed at
the February 14 presidential polls.
The campaign organisation was reacting
to a meeting held between the Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson,
the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs, Kingsley
Kuku and ex-militant leaders in Yenagoa last week.
APCPCO’s reaction was contained in a
statement signed by the Director of Media and Publicity of the campaign,
Garba Sheu in Abuja.
The APC campaign noted that, "this
unholy alliance by the President with elements that served notice of
their diabolical intention to foment trouble is in negation to the oath
of allegiance sworn to over five years ago by the President to maintain
the territorial integrity and indivisible Nigeria."
