Guinea are into the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations after prevailing in the drawing of lots with Mali.
The 'lottery' meant Guinea finished second in Group D and will now face Ghana in the last eight on Sunday, despite not winning a single group game.
Mali and Guinea had the same number of points and goal difference, after they drew 1-1 in their final group game in Mongomo.
The
last time lots were drawn to decide a team's qualification in this
tournament was in 1988 when Algeria qualified at the expense of the
