World football governing body FIFA has confirmed to the Nigeria Football Federation that it has cleared the country from further threat of suspension.
NFF spokesperson Ademola Olajire confirmed that a clearance letter was received by the NFF General Secretary Musa Amadu on Monday stating that the suspension threat had been lifted after the court case instituted against the NFF in Jos on the September 30 elections was withdrawn. The case was withdrawn on Thursday.
The dropping of the case by the Chris Giwa-led group paved the way for FIFA-backed NFF president Amaju Pinnick and his board members to resume their duties. ...Punch
