Wilfried Bony has trained with his new Manchester City
team-mates for the very first time after a successful Africa Cup of
Nations campaign with Ivory Coast.
The 26-year-old was the biggest Premier League transfer during the
January Transfer Window, joining Manchester City for a fee around £28m
Swansea before leaving for international duty.
But he was unable
to join up with his team-mates straightaway after immediately leaving
for Equatorial Guinea to play for Ivory Coast in the 29th Africa Cup of
Nations.
Bony and City midfielder Yaya Toure enjoyed a fine tournament as they
helped guide the West Afrcian country to their first AFCON title since
1992.
City are not in action in midweek but Bony could be in line to make his
debut for Manuel Pellegrini’s side in the Saturday Night Football clash
at home to Newcastle.
