Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s successor as Chairman of the Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP, Board of Trustees, Chief Tony Anenih, on Monday
reacted to Obasanjo’s decision to dump the PDP, insisting that the party
“leaders will not miss” his departure.
Anenih,
who spoke briefly with State House Correspondents after meeting with
President Goodluck Jonathan, admitted that it was within Obasanjo’s
right to dump the party.
Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, who was
president for eight years on the platform of the PDP had earlier on
Monday in his Abeokuta palatial residence dumped his party by publicly
tearing his PDP membership card. (Read here)
