The danger of posing with snakes as python nips in for a quick bite of six-times racing champ

A racing driver gets a nasty puncture when a python sinks its fangs into his hand. Six-time V8 Supercars champ Jamie Whincup, 32, was bitten while posing with the 3ft black-headed python and the series trophy he is defending this season.

He said: "It was pretty painful. The snake just wanted to get out of there. It was getting rowdy then had a go."

"We pushed the friendship a little bit. We decided to have the snake round the championship trophy and we moved around a few times and it wanted to get out of there."

The non-venomous reptile was dislodged a few minutes later at a zoo in Sydney.

Jamie was left bloodied and bruised after the python’s antics. But thankfully his injuries are only superficial. ...DailyMirror
