A young teacher has been banned from the classroom for life after she
bedded a teenage student at the £30,000-a-year boarding school where
she taught.
Design and technology teacher Ruth Vaughan, 25, first
kissed the 18-year-old sixth-former at an end-of-term leavers’ ball at
posh Oakham School in Rutland.
The pair went on to have a full-blown affair and she even visited the
boy and had sex with him during his second week at university, a tribunal was told.
Vaughan
was found to have abused her position of trust by starting a
relationship with the teen, even though he had left the school when
they first had sex.
