Manny Pacquiao is leaving no detail unattended as he prepares for his showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr in Las Vegas.
On Thursday, the Filipino puncher recorded a song that will be played
while he walks to the ring on 2 May at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, GMA
News reported.
Lalaban Ako Para sa Pilipino (I Am Going to Fight for Filipinos) was written by composer and frequent collaborator Lito Camo.
The Tagalog lyrics from a clip of the song that aired Friday on
Philippine late-night newscast Saksi translate to: “We are going to
fight / I am going to fight to the world / Fight for your name / I am
Filipino / We are Filipino”.
Camo said the song is not only about boxing, but a broader message
about overcoming challenges in daily life to become an inspiration to
others.
