A controversial model has sparked Instagram outrage this Easter after posting a religious message to followers while donning revealing Virgin Mary body art.
23-year-old Indianara Carvalho rose to fame after winning the 2014 Miss Bumbum contest.
Since then she has courted criticism after claiming Real Madrid football star Cristiano Ronaldo had a relationship with her. But after recovering from plastic surgery that left her hospitalised, the glamour model is looking to turn over a new leaf.
Writing on Instagram, she said to fans in an Easter message: "Good Friday. Lord, on this day I ask for peace, love, wisdom and strength."
"I want to look at the world through the eyes of love, I want to be patient, understanding, gentle and wise. I
want to see beyond human appearances, to see children as the Lord sees
them and I only want to praise the good and wish peace for everyone!"
"Father, protect my ears from all evils and watch my steps on the path to truth. May
your blessings fill my spirit and my heart, which is so kind and
cheerful … Feel your sweet and gentle presence … I am your grace."
But since the post she has been bombarded with criticism from outraged followers. Eliane Paz Salinas wrote: "Don’t mix God with your ridiculous shame and profanity."
Another Cadmo Barrera Lerma said: "You have lost my total respect, at least one in your list of followers."
And Janvier Veliz Angulo fumed: "This proves that beauty is not everything … you have lost me as one of your fans."
