Newcastle have ended Hatem Ben Arfa’s contract by mutual consent, leaving the attacker free to complete a move to Nice.
The French club confirmed on Saturday, that they had agreed a deal in principle to sign Ben Arfa, who recently had an unsuccessful loan spell at Hull City.
The 27-year-old spent five years at St James Park and was constantly involved in disciplinary issues.
