The United States Embassy has said no American was on board the helicopter that crashed in Yola, Adamawa State as earlier reported.
A statement by the Information Office, Public Affairs Section, US Embassy, Abuja, on Tuesday said,
“No American was involved in the Yola helicopter crash as reported on Tuesday, November 11,2014 by some Nigerian news outlets."
“The United States maintains a robust counter terrorism and dynamic bilateral relationship with the Government of Nigeria."
“We remain committed in our support to Nigeria’s efforts to stop the abhorrent actions of Boko Haram and associated terrorist groups.” ...Punch
