"Had my father not been the man he is, I wouldn't have been president,” former president George W. Bush told TODAY's Savannah Guthrie in an interview that will air on Monday morning. "I learned a lot from him."

The 43rd president of the United States sat down with Guthrie to discuss his new book, a biography of his father called "41: A Portrait of my Father," out Nov. 11.

In the interview, the former president also talks for the first time about the midterm elections, his brother, Jeb Bush, potentially running for president, and the potential for another Bush/Clinton race in 2016.

"He'll make up his own mind," Bush said about his brother. "I think in his soul, he knows he can do the job. No matter who says he should run, he knows he's going to make up his mind based upon what he thinks is right for his family. And I have no idea. I really don't." ...TodayNews
