David Moyes is expected to tell Real Sociedad whether he will take over as their manager on Monday.
Insiders at the Spanish club are waiting for the ex-Manchester United boss to give them an answer after he visited San Sebastian for talks on Friday.
Moyes, 51, knows he may have to take a job abroad to rebuild his reputation after he was sacked by United in April, but he is uncertain if Sociedad are the right club for him.
The Basque side sacked boss Jagoba Arrasate last week after a poor start to the season.
It left them in the relegation zone, just a year after they had competed in the Champions League.
Moyes enjoyed a successful decade at Everton before his 10-month reign at Old Trafford.
