Steven Gerrard's new £16.8m Malibu mansion as midfielder prepares for LA Galaxy switch

Steven Gerrard will embark on a new chapter when he moves to LA Galaxy this summer - and here's the stunning £16.8million Malibu mansion where the midfielder will live.

The Liverpool star will bring down the curtain on his 17-year Anfield career at the end of the campaign when he heads off to the MLS.

Gerrard, his wife Alex and their three children - Lilly-Ella, Lexie and Lourdes - will reside in a luxury six-bedroom pad overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The property is located near to Los Angeles International Airport, close to Santa Monica, and costs £13,400-a-week to rent.
Gerrard will have exercise, massage and sauna areas at his disposal if he wants to put in any extra training or rest his weary legs after a game. There's also an outside infinity pool if the family fancy a dip in the LA sun, while there's a big barbecue area if he wants to get his new team-mates over for a bit of bonding.

Gerrard will also be able to catch up on all the Premier League action on big screen, while the property also boasts a sports room with a bar and pool table.

Alex jetted to LA last month in search for a new home for the family, and she looks to have come up trumps if these images are anything to go by.

Gerrard agreed an 18-month deal with the MLS outfit after rejecting a new contract offer at Anfield. However, he insists his Stateside switch is not a jolly-up: "Football is my life and will continue to be for a couple of years. I'm not going over there for a holiday or to enjoy myself. I'm going over there to win, and if I win and play well, then my life becomes more enjoyable."
