Nigeria 2015 Polls: Tinubu, Ambode, Fashola delivers as Jimi, Bode George fail to deliver victory

 
Former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, delivered his Kafi/Sunday Adigun unit 047 located in Alausa to his party, the All Progressives Congress, which won by 180 votes to Peoples Democratic Party’s 55 votes. The Governor of the state, Babatunde Fashola, also delivered his ward G3 located at the State Senior School, Itolo, Surulere, to the APC, which won by 317 votes to PDP’s 135. The governorship candidate of the APC in Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, won in his unit in Epe, where the party polled 95 to PDP’s 75.

The leader of the PDP in Lagos State, Bode George, failed to deliver victory to President Goodluck Jonathan as he lost in his polling unit 001 on Evans/Adu Street, Lagos Island, where the APC got 109 votes and PDP scored 108 votes. The governorship candidate of the PDP in Lagos State, Jimi Agbaje, also lost in his unit 009, ward 3 in Apapa, where the APC scored 129 votes while the PDP got 60 votes.
 
The All Progressives Congress also posted a surprise victory at the Iju-Odo/Iju-Oke/Erekiti Ward, in Okitipupa Local Government, the traditional place of the late former Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Agagu. Reports from the ward collation centre show that In the presidential poll, PDP scored 1,006 votes while APC polled 1,127 votes. For the Senate, the PDP polled 1,103 votes while the APC recorded 1,113 votes. The APC topped the House of Reps contest, scoring 1,088 to beat close rival PDP, which polled 1,086 votes.
