World No 1 Novak Djokovic will face Andy
Murray in the final of the Miami Open for a third time after he eased
past big-serving American John Isner 7-6 (7-3) 6-2.
Djokovic became the first player in the tournament to break
Isner, outserving the giant American with 10 aces to nine as he set up a
final with Murray who he beat in Indian Wells last week.
"It is always tough to play someone who serves that well, at times it is frustrating," said Djokovic.
"It
is important to hang in there mentally, be patient and make him play. I
put a lot of pressure on his second serves, moved him around the court
and always made him play an extra shot. I am pleased with my
performance."
"He's probably the best server we have in the game. But I managed to
get a lot of serves back. That was one of the keys in the match, making
him play and getting into the rally and making him work extra. Andy
(Murray) has been playing so well this year. He lives here and spends a
lot of time practising on these courts, so he's familiar with the
conditions."
