Premier League referees are getting it in the neck right now. Dodgy penalties, incorrect penalties… nearly every Premier League manager has had his own hard luck story in recent weeks.
Jose Mourinho, of course, has had several. But
if any top-flight boss REALLY wants conclusive evidence that the
standard of officiating has reached an all-time low, this picture from Crystal Palace's 3-1 win against QPR should do the trick.
Can you spot the problem? If not, book an eye test and then look at the feet of Shaun Wright-Phillips.
But what exactly were the referee and the linesman playing at? This
isn't a 50-50 penalty decision to be made at high speed. This is a
player TAKING A THROW-IN WHILE STANDING ON THE PITCH.
