Bad boy Diego Costa doesn't scare us, insists Thiago Silva

Thiago Silva has warned Chelsea bad boy Diego Costa does not frighten Paris Saint Germain.
Brazil defender Silva also claimed he could never switch countries and play for someone else like Costa has done for Spain.

Brazilian-born Costa will be back to face PSG in the Champions League tomorrow night after serving a three-game domestic ban for his stamp on Liverpool's Emre Can.

But Costa's tough reputation will not worry Silva who was equally dismissive about the Chelsea striker's decision to play for Spain rather than Brazil at the World Cup.

Silva said: "Diego Costa is one of the top strikers in Europe at the moment. He can play, but also he can do battle as well."

"That is no problem, that is the reason you want to play at this level, to do battle against the best players in the world. He is the sort of player that lets you know he is there, but we will also let him know that we are there as well. We know that Diego chose to play for Spain and there is nothing more to be said about the subject."

"I am not sure that I could choose to play for a nation other than the one I grew up in, but neither myself or anybody else has any right to judge his decision. He chose Spain, and we all have to respect his choice."

It will be a big chance for Costa to announce his return from suspension and also for former Chelsea defender David Luiz to prove a point to his former club.

PSG also have injury worries with Yohan Cabaye, Marquinhos, Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura all set to miss the Chelsea game.
