Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha has been named the new chairman of Delta State Football Association in Nigeria.
The former Super Eagles captain replaces Amaju Pinnick, who is the current president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Before
his appointment, Okocha, 41, was a member of the state football association
and was considered based on his experience in football. He polled 26 out of 27 votes to win the seat.
