The Eko Electricity Distribution Company has said it will eliminate estimated billing fully in the next three years and deploy smart meters to prevent tampering, secure revenue and improve customer service.
The company also said its metering plan covered its existing 360,000 customers, adding that close to 240,000 customers would be added within the next three years.
The Managing Director, EKEDC, Mr. Oladele Amoda, said the board of the company had assisted the company with over N2bn to reinforce the network and sustain its ability to evacuate power from the grid and distribute to customers.
According to him, the board had also committed $45m for expansion of network, deployment of technology, procurement and installation of meters, and improving customer care services....Punch
