Chelsea are reportedly willing to sell Ramires in January if a ‘proven midfield replacement’ can be found to take the Brazilian’s spot at Stamford Bridge.
Goal have claimed that Jose Mourinho has told Chelsea chiefs that he would be prepared to let the midfielder leave the club during the winter transfer window if a suitable replacement can be recruited.
Ramires – who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid – has a contract at Chelsea until 2017, but it is believed that if the 27-year-old does not extend his deal, Chelsea would see January as the perfect time to ‘cash in’ on the player.
Ramires was signed by former Blues and current Real manager Carlo Ancelotti from Benfica in 2010. ...Metro
