Terry(L), Coutinho(R) |
John Terry has revealed his PFA Player and
Team of the Year selections, with Philippe Coutinho getting the nod as
his number one player.
Coutinho has caught the former England captain's eye, despite not seeing his side lose to Liverpool this term in three meetings.
Raheem
Sterling's future has been the subject of intense speculation and Terry
is clearly an admirer of the Liverpool forward and found space for the
England international in his team.
Terry has picked Harry Kane as his Young Player of the Year and 19
Premier League goals has put the Tottenham striker in the limelight.
The
Chelsea centre-back, who was not allowed to select any of his
team-mates, put three Southampton defenders in his starting XI,
including his former Stamford Bridge defender Ryan Bertrand.
Sadio Mane was another Southampton inclusion, with the £11m signing posting a number of impressive displays for the Saints.
Manchester United duo David de Gea and Juan Mata also featured in the starting line-up and Sergio Aguero joined Kane up front.
