The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress
(APC), General Muhammadu Buhari, returned to Nigeria on Friday on a
British Airways flight from London, following nearly 10 days in London
on a campaign break.
Buhari, whose prolonged absence fueled a festival of negative rumors
from his opponents, stepped out of the Nnnamdi Azikiwe international
airport into the waiting hands of party faithfuls that arrived to wait
for him as early as 5am yesterday.
He spoke to airport correspondents looking relaxed and assuring his
supporters he had returned in excellent health to complete his campaigns
before the Presidential elections now scheduled for March 28 2015.
