Andy Murray became the first British man to reach three French Open semi-finals after seeing four sets to see off David Ferrer.
But now the Scot, after eventually triumphing 7-6 6-2 5-7
6-1 in three hours and 16 minutes against Ferrer, will face world No 1 Novak Djokovic in a showdown between the only two unbeaten players on clay this season.
It is the first time he has beaten Ferrer in five matches on clay.
