PHOTOS: Man Utd ace Angel Di Maria puts up £4million mansion for sale a month after raid

Manchester United star Angel Di Maria is looking to "transfer" from home to away after his mansion went on sale for an eye-watering £4.1m. The luxury home has gone on the market within a month of a terrifying raid on the property while he was inside with his family.

Would-be thieves fled empty-handed after triggering an alarm system when they tried in vain to smash patio doors while the Argentinian international was reportedly watching TV with wife, Jorgelina, and their children.

The advert states: "Magnificent mansion set in well-manicured grounds in the heart of Prestbury on a private road."

"Indoor swimming pool with glass panels into the sitting room and hallway which truly envelopes the pool into the heart of the house."

The home also boasts a plush kitchen and family room, with French doors leading to a huge garden. There is also a sitting room with a drop-down screen, a kids TV room, a play room, an office, a gym, changing room, an indoor pool and jacuzzi and a two-bedroom apartment over the garage.

The attempted break was not the only controversy Di Maria, who signed from Real Madrid for £60m in the summer, faced at the home. A cleaner was quizzed by police and sacked for snapping pictures while tidying the mansions of three Manchester United star.

In November detectives quizzed cleaner Jessica Tinsley, 24, after the Old Trafford club alleged she was rummaging around the luxury pads of di Maria, £16million defender Marcos Rojo and £6million striker Javier Hernandez. While scrubbing and polishing her way through their homes £8-an-hour Jessica, of Warrington, Cheshire, took photographs of the lavish rooms and items, including Rojo’s £200,000 wage slip - but only to show off to her family.

But it was feared the pictures could end up in the wrong hands, like gangs of professional housebreakers, so she was interviewed by two officers.
