Diego Simeone rejected a "huge" offer from Manchester City and several
other European clubs and will sign a new contract with Atletico Madrid,
according to Guillem Balague.
The Atletico boss is highly sought-after after winning La Liga with
the club last year and taking them to the Champions League final, but is
close to commiting to the club until 2020.
Speaking on Revista de La Liga,
Balague said City, Paris Saint-Germain and two Italian clubs came in
for the 44-year-old, but says Simeone is happy at the Vicente Calderon
Stadium.

"He had a huge offer from City, a huge offer from PSG, from two
Italian teams, but he is close to signing a new deal with Atletico
Madrid until 2020," Balague said.
