Chelsea are reportedly lining up a shock deal to sign Steven Gerrard when he leaves Liverpool at the end of the season, UK’s Metro reports via Fichajes.net.
Gerrard will finish his glittering Reds career in June, and has already agreed to link up with MLS outfit LA Galaxy.
But reports suggest that before he moves to LA, Chelsea could grab him on a short-term loan deal, with the new MLS campaign not starting until February.
Manchester City have also been linked with a loan approach for the 34-year-old, while Liverpool have said that they would like him to return to Anfield in the future.
